Withdrawl from Temazepam ?

I took 30 mg of Temazepam every night for 16 months.  After a visit to my doctor I reduced my dosage as follows:  alternating 30 mg and 15 mg every other day for 10 days.....then 15 mg every night for 10 days and then stopped completely...my last 15 mg was on   June 8, 2011. I have symptoms of withdraw which I would calssify as mild to moderate, such as flue like feeling, balance issues, aggitation, nausea.....I have noticed a decline in the symptoms each day.....QUESTION...How long should it take for the withdrawl sysmtoms to subside?

I took 7.5mg of Temazepam for quite awhile and the increased it to 15mg.  I've been taking it for about 9 mos and I want to stop as I'm feeling really tired throughout the day and evening.  Yet, if I don't take it, I can't get to sleep.  What do I do?  I can't get two different strengths of the drug from my health care provider.

Hey!!!  You were on it for a while but did the right thing by tapering.  Maybe would have helped to do 15 every other night, but that's beside the point now.  You don't need to go back to it.  The WDs that you're having may last a month or so.  Sorry that's not good news, but benzo WD (the moderate to mild part) can really go on for a while!!!

Don't look back.  It will get better!  Promise!!!
