Worse time yet

It's day 7 off the methadone. I'm hot then cold. My legs hurt so bad I just want to scream. This is the first day I really thought how much easier it would be just to take medication & make this all go away. Then a moment of clarity:
I never, never, never want to do the last 7 days again. Forward motion not going backwards.
Thank you'll for letting me know this will pass. I'll go take a bath & give the leg pain a 20 minute rest.
I think I'll read the AA big book while I'm in there. See if I can learn something today.
I'm teachable today.  Praise GOD!!!

Hang in there I am on day 15 slowly it gets better. The mental stuff is much harder for me than the physical was. If you have to call a dr and get something for the side affects. Thinking of you

Going to NA or AA everyday. If I sat here I wouldn't make it. How wonderful for you. GOD bless you & your baby. I'm looking forward to joining society again & being around my children.

Good luck to you hang in there!  I been clean now from herion for well it was 3yyears in July but I am still on subutext and just found out that I am pregnant so just I'll be on them for about another year so that really ***** but I guess I gotta do what I gotta do. I hope when it comes to that time I can stay as strong!   Well best wishes to you    hope you are doing some aftercare staying  clean is the hard part

Wow. Pat yourself on the back and keep posting. Methadone withdrawal isn't something I've been through...just suboxone withdrawals (the longest) and those from lesser opiates. Coming off hydrocodone now and reading that others are making it through something much harder puts things in perspective!

You'll get there. Those methadone wd's are so protracted...Employ every single comfort measure you can think of!   Are you able to take OTC pain med like Motrin?
