as long as you only take them just for a couple of days they are very addicting I take them for panic disorders have for a couple of years they are bad stuff!!! going to my doc monday to see if there is a another alternative they are very addicting i stated at .50mg a few times a day and now 1mg several times a day just doesnt cut it so be careful xanax w/d are dangerous

are you w/d from another drug? if so you can take them the first few days but not after that your body gets depended very quickly to these since I have quit hydros i find myself taking more not that i want to I hate the way this make me feel but my panic attacks are getting worse its a vicious cycle with these drugs but only you know if you can stop after a couple of days or if your addictive behaviuor will get the best of you

I used valium to sleep for a couple weeks or maybe more?  Then switched to melatonin and tylenol PM........I didn't have a problem because I never had an issue with benzo's.  But I wouldn't recommend for more than a few days to a week to be safe, and then switch to OTC's if you still can't sleep.
