Xanax Withdrawls?

Xanax Withdrawls?

I am going on 3 weeks of not being on xanax and I already went through an inpatient detox, still having alot of different withdrawal symptoms, Is there anyone who has gone through this and might be able to suggest a few things that can help?

Hi there and welcome to the forum. I'm about 9 weeks clean from Xanax. What Kind of symptoms r u having? I had panic attacks of coarse and severe headaches. I also wd from opiates 2 weeks after the Xanax so I'm not sure which was which at that point! I do know the headaches quit for the most part after 7 days and the anxiety from the Xanax was over at about 10 days or so ( atleast most of it anyway) hope that helps and congrats on your huge accomplishment. Xanax is jyst awful to come off of!  Wtg:-)

Ps. The only peace I got was getting in a very hot bath and laying my forhead on a towel and just sweating it out. For some reason that helped me the most. I also took deep breaths in and put and tried anything to distract my mind. I know that's not a lot of help but these things just take time. I don't have really any sypmtoms to mention now so it does get better and it does go away completely with time. Good luck!! You're doing great.

Ive been there.  10 years taking xanax. Man, thats along time. I didnt notice many wds after a week or so. I think its the same with all pills. You just have to give it time. The first week my central nervous system was shot and I couldnt sleep. I sure hope you feel better and just give it alittle more time.

Good advice georgiagirl1022.  I also went thru xanax and opiate withdrawal and it's so true - I don't really know what symptoms to ascribe to each drug (weird).  But I think you got em!

And welcome JennRomeo from me too - you'll find a lot of great advice and support here.  This forum has been so important to me during recovery and I think it will help you too.  Keep going and great job on quitting!  :)
