Zyban and drinking

I was told drinking and Zyban was not a good idea. I have to quite smoking for health reasons but I don't want to quite drinking. I drink a good bit but I'm not an alcoholic. I'm wondering if it is o.k to drink 10-15 drinks in a night and also be taking Zyban?

The mixing of alcohol and Wellbutrin and Zyban (exact same drugs used for different things) is a big, big, no-no. I tried Zyban, and it worked for me. But, I was told that even 1-2 drinks can cause significant seizures. I'd advise you to quit drinking long enough to take the Zyban, or use a nicotine patch if you have to drink. Please, don't combine the two.

It's really, really not a good idea to drink on zyban as it can cause scerosis?!
Also alot of people I know that are on zyban have literally 1 or 2 drinks and tend to black out
I've heard of another friend on zyban that went totally balistic hit his girlfriend
So I wouldn't suggest

If you aren't an alcoholic, you won't have any trouble not drinking for the time it takes you to quit smoking and STAY quit.  Do you have any sort of plan of attack for cravings and anxiety?  Even with zyban, it still happened to me.  Mostly you'll find yourself reaching for the cigs with certain things like driving, talking on the phone, etc.  When you don't find them, that's when your anxiety screams for the cigs to make everything feel all better.  If you can just wait it out for a few minutes and calm down, it'll pass.
