about the liver

hey gang, haven't been on in A LONG TIME! going to school and relapsing right and left. i can't seem to get past the 1 month mark. anyway, i have a question about liver toxicity. i have taken 30 lorecet 10/650's in the past 5 days (the most i have ever taken in such a short time) and i have itchy skin, brain fog, and sleep disturbance (keep jerking awake.) can anyone out there relate or help me calm down and let me know what is going on with my liver if you can. i'm on the verge of a panic attack and that has it's own symptoms that come with it. it kinda amplifies the other symptoms.

LIsa PLZ go get you liver tested ASAP its just a blood test you are not supposed to be going over 4,000mgs a day and they are thinking of lowering it .you are taking in 19,500.Plz talk to your doctor about a program to get you clean this has gotten to a life threating point .you are worth so much more then this

wait, you took 30 of them in ONE day, or over the course of the last 5 days? big difference...if you took them in 5 days then you should be OK (but never assume that especially when your liver has been taking prolonged abuse). But if you took that many in one day, for the last 5 days, then yes, i would definitely go to the ER and have your liver checked asap!  good luck to you

yey..i think it was 30 in 5 days...which is 3,600 mgs of tylenol per day...so less than 4000 but geez..if u gotta relapse aybe find sumpin with lil or no tylenol...650 is alot for one pill...but we all know u really need to quit playng this game as it is getting u all stressed out...gets to the point where it is just no fun anymore...but the narcotic or they tylenol can be causing the itchy skin..major side effect of narcs so that is probably it especially if it is more than ur usual intake..be safe...and take urself seriously

no it is 30 in 5 days not at one time. i will go get it checked. i have no insurance right now so i guess i can go to the health dept. and they can do the test

thank you all for the info and support. i know, i have to get off this roller-coster ride soon. i don't want it to mess with my school. i'm too close to a new career and definately don't want to mess that up. my problem is about a week after withdrawl (withdrawal) is done, i start really obsessing about the pills to the point of screaming because i cannot get them. i need treatment definately, but no insurance equals no treatment. i'll find some way of getting the treatment i need, just have to a little research. thanks again

I recommend going asap to get your liver tested. Even if you are ok this time, there may not be a next time. See my post from January. I almost didn't get a next time...

There's a new book out called Pill Head and I just started it. He talks about how some can OD and die from a few tylenol or vikes combined with alcohol and others can abuse both for years. It's a **** shoot. With your life.

Get help NOW...go to a meeting..NA, AA ..whatever feels more comfortable to you. We can't do this alone. I finally surrendered to that and even though I am still physically very lethargic and exhausted 6 months later, I am so much happier.

Don't give up, just keep working towards freedom.

know the theory dunny...and true i think...some have livers of concrete..and some do not..it is best to be tested if we have done any high doses of liver toxic drugs especially if the person is a drinker to boot....liver disease is no fun and being safe is always better than being sorry

I bought a holistic detox kit from a health food store and they were very helpful...  Anyways they suggested   "MilkThistle"  and on the bottle it says a herbal remedy to promote liver health.
But they also told me I should have my liver checked first by a doctor and blood test.
So please take to heart the other posts asking you to get a blood test as well.

Def have your enzymes checked. I was taking lots of norco but also milk thistle every day and my enzymes have always been good. Don't be afraid. Alot of time the liver repairs itself. I had a family member who tried to kill herself with a whole bottle of ibuprofin and other stuff. She was in ICU. That was about 2 years ago and her liver is fine now. She just had a baby!
