How long did you take the Lyrica the last time you tried it?? From what I understand it takes some time to find the right dosage and for it to start helping with that kind of pain.

As far as getting the meds out of your system. They are short acting and will be eliminated after a few days to a week. ( not sure about the Valtrex)  The harder part is the after affects. Vicodin use damages neurotransmitters in our brain. Our brain stops making natural pain relievers, as well as the natural chemicals that control our moods and energy. These things take MUCH longer to get back to normal. The body is clear of the drugs after a very short time but the after effects can take months or even years to heal entirely.
Have you talked to your doctor about wanting to stop the meds? Does he have a plan for you and how you will deal with the pain without these meds??

To answer your question... i have a bottle of that medicin but i guess it just does not work for me as far as taking the pain away. I want to know why is it when i try to get clean i get this awful anxiety attacks in my legs. It really freaks me out . Is it to late for me? I have the shingles now and my doctor did not want to give me vicoden and that made me very angry.
