addicted to percocet

by aakzz, Oct 25, 2009 12:25AM
Well to start i just signed up for this website and i am totally confused on how to add friends and all that so i hope it is easy to figure out...I am currently addicted to percocet and  a friend is trying to get me to take suboxone...I was just wondering if that is addicting also? Any info on suboxone would be awesome also...I have an aquaintance that goes to the methadone clinic and is trying to get me to go...I keep telling her no but she makes it sound wonderful so any info on that would be a blessing...

1. Thanks for the add :)
2.  This is just my personal opinion because I havent had a good experience but Suboxone and Subutex are way more addicting than perc.   Ive been on subutex for about a year now and from what ive read didnt get the right treatment.  Now im getting off on my own and going through withdrawal.  Its not fun and I wish I would have taken the week withdrawal from vic than this stuff.  Subutex and Suboxone are opioids.  All they do is delay the w/d.  So far I havent seen too many people who havent been taken advantage of with this medication but who knows if itll work for you or not.

Def. dont take it just cause your friend is offering it.  Do some research like subsux.com or read around on this website, research it like its going out of style.  If your like me youll find that faith and having a couple long, warm showers are better than months and months of feeling like absolute ****.  And im only on day 2 of subutex recovery so I have lots to look forward to! ::sarcastic grin::

If I could go back and be in your position where I haddent yet started sub, i would have never gone on it.

Like I said, this is just my personal opinion.  If others have had luck then thats wonderful.  But if its just painpills that your addicted to, sub (in my experience) is way too powerful

Suboxone can be very useful and damaging to others. Depends on your use and DOC. How much and how long have you been abusing percocet? Methadone is like suboxone in terms of help with witthdrawl but is also addicting and used for pain so that would be something to think about also. Only a doctor can tell you wich route would be best. I wouldn contact a suboxone doctor, the methadone clinic, your primary and think long and hard before makin any decison to go on any other med. Addiction is a disease and its best to find seek treatment from those who are qualified to treat it. I have been on soboxone for a long time now but i cant really say if it has helped or hurt me in the long run. Also how many times and for how long have you tried to quit before?
