From all my relapses I found some things that definetly helped me and is at this very moment helping me through another withdrawal week. I found that valerian root which is what valium is derived from is a natural calming herb and for me really helped me to sleep the night through some of the "fidgets". During the day I took nux vomica which is an herb that helps with heartburn and nausea, but also I found out that it actually can help suppress the addictive patterns, lessen some of the cravings. It may not work for some people, but it is worth the shot. Plus there is no chance for switching one habit for another 'cause they are herbal and non addictive. I hope that helps a bit. I also tried restorils for sleep. But they are another chemical and being an addict, my nemesis. Good luck.

Heads up!
See, I did not always see my behavior as "an addict," I thought I was "clever." Turns out asking your friends for Rxs. 'cause you threw your back out, etc. and stealing from your family is NOT normal, and not acceptable behavior. Staying on anti-anxiety meds (benzos) for more than two weeks causes physical dependence. You might be logging on for "the recipe" some day!
