Hi Lee . Welcome to the forum.. it is always difficult when we find we have become addicted.. Blaming the Dr is the first reaction. all opiates come with a pamphlet stating they are additive.. admitting we are addicts is not something we relish but until we do we are angry and take no responsibility.. I'm not saying this to be harsh it is just a fact. If you are tapering it would be in your best interest to have someone you trust dole them out to you as often we fail if left on our own.. Many if us live with chronic pain and have found alternative methods to deal with it. Speaking to your Dr and telling him you do not like being tied to a pill would be a great start in finding these treatments.. I agree Dr.'s hand them out to readily. but it is up to us to be our own advocates.. You sound determined !! It will not be that many more days before you start to feel better. make sure you are eating taking hot showers/baths and staying hydrated.. Life is freaking spectacular when we get off those damned things !! Take care.. lesa
