am i having withrawal symptoms

i have been taking prescribed co codamol for at least 15 years now ,ranging from 2 x500mg tabs a day up to 8 x 500mg tabs a day ,i hardly ever get to the point where i run out as i have a repeat perscription every month and even if i do ,im only without for a couple of days and usually the most i experiance is the runs ,but i ran out of my tabs on saturday and i cant get my new tabs til tomomrrow when they go to the chemist ,so this is day 6 without them and for the past 5 days i have been feeling so ill with the runs ,vomiting ,aching muscles and joints ,depression even though i take anti depressants, cant sleep at night, arms and legs twitch ,headache and feeling like i have flu ,also sweats ,if this is withdrawral i really dont know what to do about getting my tabs tomomrrow,if i am over the worst then i would love to never take them again although i dont know what else i could take for the pain of arthritis and ulcerative colitis that i have ,the codiene did help with the stomach cramps and the lose stools ,i really feel like i need to take those tabs as soon as i pick them up tomomrrow ,my head is telling me not to but my body craves them ,its like i cant feel normal until they are back in my system

My story is pretty simple...I had knee surgery a few years back, loved the vic...abused the vic and have so on and off for those few years...I like drugs...but hate em too...27 days clean now off of a wagon fall...but feeling pretty good about it.  I got my drugs off of the streets or from the doc if and when i could fake some injury...lame, i know....

I am not sure what to advise you as for the ailments.  If I were in your shoes I'd talk to the my doctor and tell them that you DO NOT want to be on opiates and look for alternatives to what you have been doing....

It would seem to me that you are in a tough spot, damned if you damned if you don't kind of thing...

If you intend to stay off the opiates, hang around here and read what others have written, talk to the doc and start searching out alternatives to opiates for your pain...good luck.

you are in opiate wd and the worst of it is over, you would better serve to not to pick up those pills tomorrow and tough it out.  Your ailments are real, but the addiction is worse and for a time the wd's will make your pain worse...do you want to be off of the drugs or not?
