The restless legs lasted for about 7- 8 days. Your body will start to settle down.  Day 11 for me.

hey take it easy the legs will stop kicking in 2 or 3 days time.

if you want you can take something called "Lagaflex", it is a muscle

relaxant and it is not addictive and it helped me a lot.

I hate the RLS, Shakes, Tremors, Cold then hot, sweats, stomach feeling like I swollowed a bag of leaches or something..

I hate the w/d sooo soo bad. That is one of the main reasons I cannot get(and stay clean)!  There are a few, but that is my biggest fear. Despite what some have said on here about it not being deadly to opiate w/d cold turkey!  I have read true horror stories of families and people who have dies coming off them c/t.. So of course I ALWAYS fear that senerio..

I have gone c/t from a few things. Methadone was the worst. This time it is the ultram. I am able to eat this time, but the leg stuff wears me out and I usually go and find something. that is the killer for me too.

i have xanaflex, do you think that might help?

by jessica26253, Jan 02, 2008 06:12AM
I know what you mean about the restless legs it is killing me. That's why I was put on tramadol to begin with. I was diagnosed with RLS. I don't think my doc really knows what is wrong with my legs though. Just keeps telling me it's restless leg syndrome and throwing drugs at me that's how I got addicted to the tramadol. I do have an appt with an orthopedic today though to see if he can find something causing the pain. Good luckk to all of you. I know this restless leg stuff is awful!!!

This was me a day ago. (Im starting day 3 of WD's here)  I woke up at 2:45 and never got back to sleep the rest of the day. It was mainly the RLS keeping me up, except it was not just in my legs, it was in my arms and HEAD even! it was horrible!!!  Now last night I crashed at 9 pm, woke up at 12, 1, and 2 but fell back alseep until 3. Came down took a xanax and laid on the couch in the dark and thank god i finally fell asleep around 4 until 7! so at least I did get some sleep this time, alot more than the night before! It makes a huge difference when you can get sleep. I was not worth a crappp yesterday, I was a zombie, ached so bad all over, cranky, depressed and couldnt get anything done around here.  Today I still hurt like hell everywhere but i feel a little motivated to do the dishes and laundry and make breakfast for the kids when they get up.
I hope you find a way to get some sleep soon. Hve you tried valarian root? Make sure it doesnt interact with any of the meds you are taking now though before trying it. It does help you sleep. I cant take it anymore it interacts with my theophllyine, but years ago i used it and it really made me sleep.

Good job on starting day 3 you are about to turn the corner.  You should feel better by day 5.

by troubleinohio, Jan 02, 2008 06:51AM
vistaril..i think that is hydroxyzine? its a tranquilizer/antihistamine I think. Go to Rxlist.com and look it up to be sure.  Have you taken anything at all lately?

by desertgirl, Jan 02, 2008 06:58AM
i took an ambein and a trazadone but they did not help...

by troubleinohio, Jan 02, 2008 07:01AM
wow ambien didnt help? well definitely dont try to take anything more now!!! Youre just gonna have to suffer this out with no sleep. You dont want to mix a bunch more **** with ambien hon. Might put you to sleep for GOOD.  I totally know how you feel. I was right in the same spot just yesterday as I already said. It sucksss!! Hang in there though!!!

no xanaflex wont work look for "LAGAFLEX" or "DECONTRACTIL"

These are not pain killers or anti-depressant they are muscle

relaxants and they are not addictive.
