I have been given prednisolone before when i have had chest infections due to asthma, i have never experienced any side effects with it but i suppose everyone is different.
Been on them a few times, but no side effects at all.

Prednisone is a steroid.  You start and end by taking it in increasing and then decreasing doses.  It works very well for inflammation but what most doctors often fail to tell patients is that steroids also negatively impact the immune system --- It is not uncommon for someone on these drugs to get a variety of things like the flu, colds, pneumonia, and a host of other diseases because their immune system is not working right.  If you take it be sure and try to stay away from public events and away from people who may cause you to get these common viruses and bacteria.  All the best.

Just found this though....hope it helps:

Common side-effects - these affect less than 1 in 10 people who take this medicine.
Feeling sick or indigestion
Abdominal pain
Increased appetite
Dizziness and difficulty sleeping
Tiredness
and Oral thrush

But like i said, i have never experienced any of these. Hope all is well soon with you.

thats good, they told me it could make me anxious and jittery, which I always am already. thats why I'm on klonopin, but the pharmacist did say that the klonopin would probably even out the jitters... thanks :)

okey dokey, hopefully I won't have any side effects either. I'm starting it today, with a full stomach of food here in a few minutes :)
