band across my chest

I am on day 4 today and started off pretty well. I was able to hold down the suboxone today,but I keep getting this awful pain across the lower part of my chest right under sternum area. Does anyone else get this? It is horrible,I can barely breathe and of course I get the bad anxiety with it. Just 10mins ago my neighbor got his pain pills and he owed me money just $100,but he asked if I wanted 15 blueberries instead. Twice today I was offered. I saw them and got that euphoric memory and said no I will take the money. I was so tempted to just take 1,but I said no. Twice today, the only 2 sources I would get from when I did not have. Anyway the pain is my main concern now.

I am so proud of you for telling those people no,I read you were really sick yesterday could this pain be related?I do not know much about sub,but I also if the pain is not your addiction playing tricks on you.Do you have the strength to take a hot bath?I am sure you will get more advice just hang in there .Let us know how your doing

I always seem to get this when I withdrawal,but I was feeling good all day until about an hour ago and the leg cramps again grrrrrrrrr,but the chest pain bothers me more. I am just trying to relax now and think good thoughts, but I wonder if anyone else gets this.

Sometimes blood pressure can go way up during w/ds. If you can get it checked, that would be good. Anxiety can also do this. I took 1/2 Xanax during the first few days. Especially at night. Stay strong. Taking an opiate isn't the answer, as you know.

Good heavens! You are a brave soul. I so pray that no one hands me, or offers me anything. I am in a lot of pain, and could easily justify that.

I don't know all that much about the subject, but the chest thing sounds like anxiety. Please speak with your doctor and tell him all that is going on. It is important for your Suboxone program, as well as your general health.

I don't know about the sub....but i have had chest pain like 3 times int eh last couple of days...I'm sure it's anxiety(for me) because i've had it checked out before, but if it continues, you might want to talk to your Dr.  Good job on the "NO".......I know that is hard...i had a dream last night that  i was going to buy more vics, and then i woke up and was all shook up...so hang in there...you're doing the next right thing!!!

Hey i'm getting the same thing. I don't know if its the anxiety or damage from the pills. It hurts and I know if I take a pill it will go away because it has in the past. I does'nt seem to go away when I take a xanax but the anxiety does. I'm afraid its damage to the esophagus from the years of using on an empty stomach and throwing alcohol on top. Keep us posted I want to know how you do and I'll let you know if mine gets any better. Today a 6:00 will be 3 weeks and the anxiety and this pain is still there.
