been taking 10 mg ambien for only 3 weeks now weaning off

I started taking 10 mg ambien to sleep during my vicodin withdrawal.  I've been clean now for 46 days from 2 a day 5mg vicodin.  I stopped taking the ambien Tuesday night because my sleep is somewhat coming back---THANK GOD!!!!!!!  On Wednesday after not taking the ambien Tuesday night I had a headache all day and on Thursday as well.  I took tylenol every 4-6 hours all day.  The headache wouldn't seem to quit.  Today which is Friday it's 10:30 a.m. and so far I don't have a headache.  I'm very sensitive to medications anyway.  My question is-is this from not taking an ambien on Tuesday night?  I talked to the pharmicist and they said take a half of one on Wednesday and thursday night and wean myself off.  I've only taken the ambien 10 mg for 3 weeks could I be experiencing these headaches from that?  The pharmicist said it's like coming off of caffeine.  I'm so glad I'm off of the vicodin everything is getting back to normal.  I do have some rough days every once in a while just a little anxiety but thats it.  Whats going on with these headaches?  I like to ask people that have actually experienced these things rather than what the pharmicist says.  Any comments would be so appreciated.
