best way to get off methadone

Ive been on methadone or oxys since back when they made 160mg. oxys and 40mg. methadone, but im still stuck on the methadone I dont get high and it doesnt ecven stop the back pain I have which is why I get them but the withdrawls suck ive kicked heroin and oxys but dones r the worst anybody kick it and have suggestions?

HI Nick I got off methadone 5mo ago  ...I was at 150ml for 6 1/2yrs I did a relatively fast
taper it took 8 1/2 mo but thats 1/2 the time it would take at the clinic....I used a formula given to me by a neo/natal nurse that brings babys off heroin methadone oxy ext...
it goes like this 10% drop in dose every 72hr ...it worked good for the most part
but sometimes you just have to wait a little longer like a day or 2 extra to get use to the dose ...this will bring you off as comfortably as possible with the least withdrawals
I took it all the way down to 1ml but dont recommend that ...jump off at 5ml because tapering below that is miserable and my final withdrawal was no worst then tapering below 5ml....expect a 7 day withdrawal methadone is know for it but at lower doses

We need to leave the methadone tapering plans to the experts. Monkeying with peoples dosages on here is dangerous at best.
