Hi love! Fortunately drugs do not travel through sperm lol. Its unlikely he has genetic damage from using drugs so long ago. Did he offer this to you as a reason to not get pregnant? Just asking because parenthood is a big step and both parents need to be on board. It is a little bit scary. I had my first child at 31 and second at 34 and both pregnancies and deliveries went just fine. They are adults now but still live here. I'm 57 and tired lol. We have a wonderful pregnancy forum here on MH. You should check that out too.

How old are you? Having a baby after age 40, however, is not recommended by physicians. Getting a doctor's evaluation before getting pregnant would be a safe and wise place to start. Good luck to you, and I hope a little one is in your future.

Hello Celart. Welcome to the forum. I do not see any reason that you could not have a baby. If he is still attending any kind of after care like AA our NA he may want to up meeting for the stress a pregnancy and babe can cause and if not attending maybe starting, this would be my only suggestion Other then this I wish you both well, lesa
