You should be concerned about his addiction and yes about chest pains also although I am not sure if they are caused from the Oxy. See if he is willing to come on here and read. He needs to stop snorting them!!

The surge he gets from snorting them could very well be causing heart palpatations...cocaine does the same thing...i have seen many young people come into the er after snorting and be in cardiac distress...Chest pain is never to be ignored...get it checked...if u say you have chest pain in an er...u automatically get bumped to the front of the line...that is how serious it can be

Snorting is obviously not how they are intended to be taken.  It takes the "time release" element out of the equation and gives him the full hit.  He's also taking a heck of a dose.  I preferred to chew mine when I was on them.  I had chest pains before I quit that the ER doctor told me was from anxiety.  I couldn't get as many as my body was craving so I was in a constant state of partial withdrawal.  When I completely quit, Whamo.  Anxiety attacks complete with chest tightening.

He may very well be in cardiac distress though taking that many in a day.  He needs help.  He need to get off of them.  Try and get him on here.  It's no joke.

I too snorted about that same amount for a long time and also had intermitted chest pains. Part of it was from inhaling the Oxy into the lungs but alot of it I'm sure was due to the fact that I smoke a pack a day. Yes you should be concerned. I reached a point where I was suffering mentaly and had I not stopped recently I probably would be brain dead soon. Whatever it takes get him to quit. You are a very supportive wife by the sounds of it. My wife divorced me two years ago and all that did was made me worse.

Hi...not an expert but the snorting, smoking and stress are accumulating into one big heart bomb incident.  I'll assume your hub doesn't eat right nor exercise (not judging) so if the bod is ynder constant stress, something has to give...eventually.  I think the chest pain is a serious warning...may want to consider a check up with the doc and maybe come clean about the addiction..

I never snorted oxys (my DOC was percs) but I am kinda curious how anyone could truly function,e.g. work, drive, family while on so many meds...me I started to zone out, even at work, if I took too much.

Thanks,

Guy
