can u go into wd from taking sub too soon?

can u go into wd from taking sub too soon?

I was told that you can go into wd if it you take unless your wd are presently either mildy or moderate. I am on day three of sub and i feel wds, but they are coming in a different form now. I am getting really nauseated and feel spacey, i took 1 mg of sub at 5pm, i really tried to wait it out as long as i could and went the whole day feeling delirious...is this a wd symptom from oxys?  and i want to take another one because i feel sick, but i am afraid that because i don't have the sweats like i usually do and pain, that i will get worse, help

what did your doctor tell you to do ? I would contact him/her .Precipitated wd are very severe so I don't think this is what it is . What are you doing for recovery care ?

well i was taking oxy 30 mg 3-5 daily for approx. 5 months and before that it was perks and vicodin for 3 years. and before that it was weekend use... i started sub monday, and everyday i wait until i go into wd to take one...but i am sort of confused, i dont feel right and don't know if i should take a sub. i took a 1 mg of sub at 5pm and now it is 8:30 om and feel some wd, and i don't know if i should take another half....i am confused if i am in wd or if i am just thinking about it too much.... i am scared it will put me precipitated withdrawal...can that happen if i haven't take an oxy since sunday?

No it cant ,what did your doctor set up for you .You are not supposed to be waiting until you go into withdrawal to take the next dose .  That was only right after you went off the oxy. This is why it so important that doctor really explain what is going on .

hi.  i am not sure how long you've been on the subs, but when i started them i got very very sick from them.  dizzy very nauseated.  i had to take some time off to get use to them. horrible headaches.  i could only lay down in a dark room for a few days.  it all subsided after being on for a week although the headaches lasted up until i stopped taking them.  i kinda got use to the headaches  but the fuzziness dizziness and nausea was pretty bad at first.  however nothing like withdrawal.  i wasnt in full severe withdrawal when i started them.  was pretty mild but the sickness, for me, was definitely not precipitated withdrawal, it was just a side effect.  my doc said it was side effect and it would go away and it did.  good luck with everything.  i have some pretty strong negative feelings about the subs now that im wd from them but everyone is different.  hope you feel better soon!

But I figured that the less sub i need the better. i took 2mg day 1, 3 day 2 and 1/2 of 2 day three....i just took another half, hopefully that will make me feel better...thank u. Are u a dr?

your not kidding.  my doctor looked me dead in the eye a month ago and smiled and PROMISED me i would have little to no wd off the subs.  his words "I PROMISE".  I am on day 12 and have had the worst 12 days of my entire life.

Ditto to what refusingbondage said.   I don't like to keep repeating but the folks need answers from those of us who have been on this stuff.  I kept to the 21 day taper and now I have been off Sub for 21 days and am still having about 2 to 4 hours of W/D's every day --- This stuff is really wicked -- --  Anyway, all the best -- the most important thing is that you quit.  Just be ready for the hard part at the end -- get off as quick as you can. Gotta do some suffering to get through it.

agreed with ochooked.  gotta pay no matter what.  it wont kill you.  thats for sure.  just listen to everyone on here with the experience to tell you whats going to happen with no bs like the docs give.  you will know what to expect but you will get through it.  or so Im told. all my luck and prayers to you.

I was on 140 mg Oxycontin and switched to Percocet to taper - got down to 70 and switched to Sub after 13 hours without Percs.  Worked almost instantly but deceived me so badly.  Thought I  had found the perfect way to get off opiates with no pain ------ what a misconception.  Still glad I quit --best thing I could have done for me and my family.  I'll be back --- sooner or later refusingbondage and ochooked will be healed totally --- All the best.

oh lord, see avisg, refusingbondages story....stories like that make me want to take sub only if i need to, not evry morn and evry night,....i think i am going to stop sub Monday, think the oxy will be out of my syetme by then? that would be 7 day oxy free.. i cannot got through the above again, i have done that with othe pills toooo many times.. too many times....i can't...just the thought of going through that makes me crazy...no wd induced nervous break downs for me, please dear God!

Mimi -- -  After going through it, refusingbondage and ochooked have no agenda and are only telling you their own personal experience with Sub ---  many others on the site have also testified to the same addictive power of this stuff ---- I would not wish the W/D's from Sub on my worst enemy.  I just believe that every person needs to know what the real story is and it is not necessarily what the dr who prescribes it says.    I wish you every success.  All the best.

oh sweetie.  i feel so badly.  i think your wd will be not so bad.  taper down as quickly as you can and then off.  there is nothing that exists that will prevent having some wd but the sooner the better the least lasting.  dont panic.   you can do it.  i was on the subs for a long long time.  over a year so i suffered very severely now.  it was too long to stay on, but again.. another instance where the doc said it was good idea to stay on and taper slowly.  should hve done the 21 day method for sure,  oh well live and learn.  be strong.  you can do it.  it makes us ALL cray but its a rite of passage.  we need to do it.  you can and do it.  for sure.

mimi you can always try a quick taper I dont think doing it the way you just said is going to help much . Some people do as short as 12 to 14 day tapers .
