changed my mind set

changed my mind set

Today I am done to a third of what I was taking before of norco. I am tapering on a plan that I worked out w/ my doctor because of other health issues. Nyway. Last night when I was laying in bed stressing about this next step down I was thinking about my mind set. Now I will be taking less n stretching.out the dosing. But something in my head clicked and said to me. Just a step of recovery. So I have stopped thinking OMG how am I going to manage this lower dose to 12 hrs into my recovery. Or a step closer to getting off. Or almost there!  It was a great feeling that I need to hold onto. Thanks for letting me share.  Now if only I could get a handle on my anxiety.

good for you! when you change your mindset, things are much easier to handle! i had a similiar experience, instead of being afraid, i felt like i was one more minute closer to being free from the drugs. as of today i am 15 days clean and it's been the longest i've gone without in 3 yrs. i am also doing things differently...i called all my contacts and threatened them, got in touch with my doctors and i'm currently seeing a counselor who specializes in addiction. totally different mindset--

i'm rooting for you! you can do this! God Bless.
