co codamol 30/500

Any body got good advice of how to get off these over a few weeks cant really do full cold turkey due to family and work commitments.
Don't have any pills left at moment so suffering the wd.
Ialso need to be carefull as i used to suffer from very serious panik attacks

Perhaps rather than going from 30/500 to 0/0 try, reduce to the 8/500 OTC co-cod. and then go to nothing...If you run out get 8/500s rather than waiting to get a prescription for more 30s.

Most advise to taper by 10% per week - - - dont fall into the trap of reducing by X amount of pills. When you get down toward the end you will want to break some pills in half and adjust your dose in that manner......slow and steady wins this race....treat it just as you would any narcotic issue - - - worried is right about the information....check the Health Pages and read up on everything....lot of good information there - - and a lot of support and knowledge from the forum members......good luck to you - it is doable

there is an article on tapering that is so helpful...and article on the thomas recipe as wll...go reading thru there..tspring is hard and u may have to hand ur pills over..pick a quit day and write out ur daliy doses..do-able..lots of support here..codeine is a narcotic but a but weaker than hydro but narcotic wd rules apply..good luck
