cocaine chemical burn

I took a big dosage of cocaine and the outside skin of my entire nose is now red painful and with more or less fluids coming out of the skin. HELP!!!!!

One of the side effects. Sometimes the damage cannot be repaired. Yeah, you have to see a doctor. If it gets infected you are in deep doo-doo.

If it is red and inflammed unfortunately those are all tale tell signs of an infection. I agree go to the doctor now.. I am no professional but I do believe hydrogen peroxide could do some help in the meantime. But you do need a professional. Sorry this happened! :( Hope it heals and fast!

Do NOT put hydrogen peroxide on it, unless you want  real bad crater scars. hydrogen preoxide will eat away the infected skin. You need special burn cream that helps the skin rebuild (very expensive), or at least polysporin extra strength for burns, as well as oral anti biotics to make sure you don't have an infection in your sinus cavities as well, which could get into your brain if you aren't careful!. I don't know what you were snorting, but it sure wasn't pure cocaine. sounds like it was cut with something nasty!

You said you've been to a few doctors, but I'd go to another one, maybe an ENT, that can prescribe some antibiotics.  I had a bad cold once that led to sinus infection that led to a throat infection, etc. in a short period of time - you really don't want to mess around with an infected nose, and yours has all the signs of one.  Good luck!

i hope you are done snorting cocaine. you definitely need an oral antibiotic and otc neosporin topical antibiotic for infection. you can also use a nedi-pot. dont waste your money on the bioskincare.

I've seen 8 normal doctors 3 dermatoligists and 1 skin expert. They haven't given me antibiotics..
I tried to tell them its some sort of corrosion but they allways know better or nothing at all.
It could prob. Have been prevented if the police and paramedics had taken me to the hospital in stead of the detention. Talk about a suicide attempt gone south...

It gets worse, the constant grease caused blackspots to come I never had any before and they make giant porrers. And they spread to my cheeks.
All this **** is killing me and no one is being supportive nobody understands my pain. They all tell me I'm mentally sick, and try to find other reasons why I'm depressed I've been diagnosed skizofrenic psychotic and been in the mental hospital and pumped with drugs for over a year and refused access to see any dermatoligists.
Luckily I got out and not been on meds for a while now. You know that crazy pills cuts like 25 years of it life?
Even my own mom is telling me I'm crazy. When I'm only depressed.
Anyways I'm considering forehead graft if the laser I'm about to go through and everything else fails.
I tried herbal healing gel, it only got more red.
I allready got enough money saved up for the best plastic surgeon I can get since the medical system in Denmark don't cover that ****.
So I'm willing to try anything, even if its spending 200$ on some cream that supposedly repairs burns.
Allso ordered something called Causticum 30C anybody know this?
Don't tell me it can't be fixed , everything can be fixed if not There is allways the bullet train

When you went to the doctor, did you tell them about your cocaine use?  If not, they might have missed some obvious cocaine related skin issues.

One, is cocaine being cut with a vet worming medicine.  It actually causes a flesh eating skin condition.  Read about it here:

That['s one of the more severe possibilities, but cocaine can lead to some nasty skin infections, depending on the quality and what it is being cut with.

I'm not sure what medication you're talking about, or where you got your information, but in regards to commonly Rx'd medications, that absolutely is NOT true.

I would recommend beign seen for your skin symptoms again, and if you haven't already...be sure to be honest about your cocaine use when being evaluated by the doctor.

You should be able to find something at your local pharmacy. Just ask the pharmacist. They usually keep that stuff behind the counter because it is so expensive people try swipe it.

Having a "skizofrenic (schizophrenic) psychotic"  condition is not being "crazy".  It's just a chemical imbalance in the brain,  and a lot of people have it.  If you see a proper doctor that specialises in that field, hell find the right medication and dosage that will control the condition without turning you into a zombie and you will be able to function and feel just as normal as anyone else. I have a few friends that are schizophrenic and they rarely have any episodes. The only time they do is when they go off their medication for one reason or another. Sometimes they just run out and forget to refill their prescription, sometimes they just forget to take it and get caught up in another episode cycle. They usually show up at my place at 1am and I know right away that they are "high" because they went off their pills. All I have to do is find their pills and give them their dose and they are fine in a few hours.
As for your burns, there is over the counter polysporin for burns that should help, plus see a doc and get on a broad spectrum anti biotic, and take them until finished.  For your acne problem try this stuff they call 'proactiv'.  you can find it on the internet  if you add the ******* after the way I typed it. That stuff works miracles for bad acne. You can order a 60 day supply for $24.  check it out.

I'm curious - If the outside of your nose is red and painful and oozing, how does the INside of your nose feel?  I'm not a doctor, but it would stand to reason that if the outside of your nose is giving you so many problems, I'd think your mucous membranes would be infected as well.(I assume you were snorting the cocaine?)  You also mentioned laser treatments - If you're referring to IPL (Intense Pulsed Light), no clinic would be able to treat you until the infection clears up.  And IPL is not pain free - it's tolerable on healthy skin, but it would hurt like he ll on your nose.  Good luck!

I had that treatment (experimental at the time) for skin lesions  resulting from a scleroderma (systemic sclerosis) condition I have. (it didn't work)  You are  correct, they will probably not do that treatment on any part that has any sign of infection.

You are claiming that studies have shown that antipsychotic meds can shorten a person's life span by almost half?  I find that VERY hard to believe and would like to see the studies if you can provide links.  How do they shorten lives exactly?  I've worked with a lot of patients on these kinds of meds and the docs who regularly Rx them and have never heard such a thing!

Did you tell the doctors who examined you about your cocaine use?

No doctors gave me steroids creme yet. Think I'm gona ask my doc for some. I tried cocaine a few times after this, but last time it made it worse, maybe I'm allergic to something they put in it.
Funny thing none of the doctors said it was this. I even told them how it happend...... Doctors are stupid, maybe I should ask a vet, that's harder to become.

I disagree that doctors are stupid.  Not all doctors are great, but most are pretty smart to be able to get through all of those years of med school.  

If your skin isn't getting any better, I suggest you seeking out an opinion from an Infectious Diseases doc or another dermatologist.

MOST importantly, you need to stop the cocaine...seek help if you have to.  The stuff that dealers cut that stuff with is awful.  Cleaning solutions, toxic chemicals, you name it.  The fact that you did coke again after the emergence of these symptoms only exacerbated the condition I'm sure.  No lie, people have lost parts of their noses due to the horrid stuff in cocaine.  Just not worth it!!

Hi there!   How long have you had this situation with your nose exactly? You posted on the 21st so had you just done that bucketload of coke?  Or was it there awhile?

You've got a few problems and you must see that right?  It reads like this huge amount of coke you did was a suicide attempt...is that right?  How are you feeling now?

I'm sure you're pretty upset with the chemical burn. I don't blame you. There's a great medicine called Silvadene Cream here in the U.S. It's an rx. Can you ask at a pharmacy if they carry that? It heals,protects,has an antibiotic,etc...although if this is a virus that you have,it won't help very much...you need to stop the coke now,though,so I hope you have...
