cocaine recovery

just tryn to calm myself, my husband was just arrested while using cocaine and driving, hit another car, etc. i've been going to anon meetings, and he's tried NA, but stopped after four meetngs in a row....this last incidence with the law is serious, a repeat for him from many years ago( he was clean for nerly seven years..but the last three years have been, at best, 2 weeks of abstinence) i was thinking of asking has anyone have thoughts on prometa? i saw an ad for it here but not even sure if anyone is franchised here to administer . he always starts thinkin he is managing his craving/thinkin, and then....he is going tourette and has run off ;  he mentioned  that he does'nt want
to buy into the lie...once an addict, always an addict   I am  praying always

I was abusing cocaine at one point in my life too.  It went on for many years.  Thankfully for the last 5 years it hasn't been an issue.  I did go to meetings for almost 2 years every day.  Even though I do know I should keep going, I don't.  The biggest problem for me was the drinking.  Whenever I got drunk I had to have cocaine.  I stopped drinking and stopped cocaine.  If your husband drinks, maybe he should try stopping that first.  We make some pretty bad decisions when drunk.  Hope I helped.  Good Luck.

Your the first one to bring up prometa it is suppose to be the best for stopping cravings for alchol and Cocaine I believe.......There the ones that use the cat scans to show the brain activites of a normal brain and a cocaine drug addicts brain to show the difference.......
In the normal brain after using cocaine not much happens........
but when the addict uses cocaine the brain chemicals light up like the fourth of July.........
