Lisa, how long have you been on cough syrup? I have a similar problem....it would really help to "talk" to someone about it. Take care, Patrick

My mother-in-law has been prescribed codeine for pain. We have conflicting information regarding its affect on the kidneys. She has 1 kidney that functions at approximately 30% and we have an understanding that codiene causes kidney failure. Please repond with any information regarding codeine vs. kidney disease.

Please please can you help, my son had spinal cancer and was prescribed dihydrocodiene, He was on it for a while and still is he is very bandly addicted and he wants to get off it . Can you please give me some advice on how he can do it alone and safely. He is a little famous and doesnt want any attention. We arent very rich and have had such a bad time. It is ruining his life, and I fear what he might do, can you please email some advice on how to get off a bad addiction he is on about 8 60mg tablets a day sometimes more, can you please advise asap.
