ADDICTION: SUBSTANCE ABUSE COMMUNITY
concerning tv show "intervention"

concerning tv show "intervention"

I have been reading posts here now since 2007 (forgot my 1st login name, had to come up with another).  I have been wondering,  for all the terrible, sad, and suffering people on here,  has anyone ever tried to get onto the show "intervention" with the idea of showing what going to legitimate doctors for pain control, have their doctor decide for whatever reason to discharge (usually afraid of dea) and how quickly life can become unbearable? I've thought of trying it just to show the world there is a huge difference between addiction and dependency... and how even the most addicted deserve compassion.  Would some of you mind sharing your thoughts?

I get what your saying..contact OWN (Oprah Winfrey Network), I think she actually did ask from her viewers some good ideas for shows.. I think that there is a huge gap that only information can bridge. I have been reading here about Dr's not equipped to deal with dependancy/addiction cutting off patients on huge doses. Dr.'s are scared as well..of losing their licence, mal-practise etc... but to that man on large mg. of fentynel patches and ending up in ER, The hypocratic oath is not in the equation.
