confrontation?

confrontation?

OK, I've been on this site back a while ago, but can't remember my login stuff, so here I am again, who ever I used to be.  My b/f is addicted to morphine now... but oxys if he can get them.  Anyway, he seems to have an even harder drug problem now.  I wish it were just the opiates.  So, I have evidence that he is probably out right this minute doing this harder drug.  And when I talk to him...or better yet see him next, should I confront him on it?  Ask him if he was out doing it?  And if he says no then explain the evidence and have him explain that?  Or do I just ignore it?  What the hell do I do?

OH, I forgot to mention before he left he asked to borrow money to "fix his car".
This sucks.

Addiction sucks..............4 those that are addicted and those that are effected by it. Its a tough place you're in................on one hand every bone in your body wants to confront him full force but on the other hopefully you understand it is a disease (thats not an excuse mind you). Just let him now subtly how much you care and that you're there for him........no one can force neone to stop using. Its gotta be his decision.......although a little nudge isn't horrible. Heres to hoping things get better!

what do u mean "i wish it was just opiates?" what do u think morphine is? a dirivitive of thebane which is off of the opium poppy, so ITS AN OPIATE. dont trust him, give him an ultimatium. any work that needs done on his car u take it and have it done and pay for it. i once seen someone ask for money to fix a flat, they unscrewed the guts of the tire, drove it to their parents, asked for money, drove it to the gas station, filled the tire with air, went and put that money in their vein. its a doggy dog world. suboxone/subutex saved my ***, along with a desire to stop and a 12 step prog.

thanks for your advice.  it's just that he's been pretty honest with me about the other things that he's been doing.  And this harder drug is bad news.  If this were the same situation but with the pills, I wouldn't even think of confronting him about it because I completely understand that one.  But this other stuff... it's a whole different story.  I realize I'm being vague here... but I guess I just need to sleep on it... if I can get any sleep that is..

I know morphine is an opiate.  I'm saying I wish it were just the morphine or oxys or tabs or what ever other type of opiate he might find.  But this other thing is a hard street drug and I don't even want to name it because I'm afraid someone will start investigating and put things together and figure out.... ok, I'm a little paranoid...sorry

If he is mixing opiates with ne type of speed thats def. bad news. If you do decide to confront him (and if it is speed) do some research on deaths from mixing the 2...........I'm sure you'll find plenty of examples.

well it's not speed.  And he doesn't "mix".  He just takes morphine or xanax when he's coming off the other stuff.  So I guess that's mixing...

At least let him know that he is not fooling you. Sometimes it takes someone we love to confront us. It is up to him to want to get clean, but let him know you are concerned. Try and get him to come on the forum and read some posts. This will let him know he is not alone. Best of luck.

dont confront him.  This will make him automatically go defensive as he will feel you are judging him and putting him on the spot to admit things to you that maybe he hasnt even been able to admit to himself yet! I know your doing this out of concern but try to just talk to him about things in a light hearted way without making too much of a big deal and let him open up when hes ready? also it would be a good idea to direct him to this website bcoz there is alot of support here for everyone! xox. Take care! <3
