ct VS rapid detox (2 pt question)

So I've read over and over that quitting pain meds ct can be a very dangerous thing to do but yet I've read and heard of many doing it. I've been taking morphine 120mg (slow release) and when out of those about 100mg percocet-daily for several years. I've tried to quit ct many times- but as you all know- it's VERY painful and I've always just given in and gone back. I've been looking into the rapid detox treatment facilities but they are soooo f-ing expensive! I'm talking at least $10,000.!!! So I'm thinking of trying to go ct AGAIN- but I'm scared. I guess I'm lookiong for the "quick fix" of a rapid detox (who wouldn't)- but can't afford it. Does anyone know of a rapid detox that doesn't cost so much? And part two- how dangerous and how much pain am I REALLY in for if I can't do the rapid detox?
Thank God for this site and thanks in advance for any and all reponses!

Never experienced rapid detox but what about tapering before quitting?  Tapering would alleviate many of the hardcore wd symptoms.
