Most people have suggested getting a complete physical after detoxing. Yes you can damage your liver and etc. I would recommend the physical too. Just to be sure.

I think everyone is differnt so to ask about proof positive that's a tough one.  Actually I don't think what anyone says matters as much as how you are feeling and what you need to do about it to change it or manage it.  say the Dr. said yes this is what happens blah blah blah what would you do then?  maybe you should see a DR. and explain the problems you are having and go from there.  I believe you have 6 months yes and are still feeling different than before you abused.....although 6 months is a really long time and a huge accomplishment how long were you abusing for.  i think it takes us a lot longer to get back than it took us to get there if you know what I mean.  if there is permanent damage then all you can do is deal with anyway so maybe the Dr. would be your best bet as I can see this very troubling to you.  i really hope things work out for you since you have done such an awesome job of staying clean.  Don't under estimate how big that is.  i would give anything to be where you are even if i did have some lingering effects.  Most importantly you have stopped the damage if there really is anything that has been affected.  Good luck and remember everyone hear is pulling for your continued sobriety.
