hello i am a 27 year old girl who started taking those roxicette 30 mg about eight months ago on occasion for fun like one or two...well now it is has been almost a year and i was taking up to 15 a day every day about...i tried to go cold turkey last week and lasted 3 days and i was so out of control, screaming, crying, just awful...i also share this problem with my boyfriend of 7 years...i blame him for bringing this into our home..blah blah blah all that fun stuff u know....well i caved in and not i am taking about 5 -7 a day...better but not what i wanted...i have no one to talk to about this, my family would be so crushed since i watch my brother,who is clean today and is a successful dr...go though oxycontin addiciton and be on suboxne for a year....why did i do this?? i am lucky we aren't one of those people who lose everything ike all their money but i wish i had no money sometimes because then i could afford this awful awfl habit...i used to think i was beautiful,and sexy and fun
! i  was a playboy model and now i am just boring starting to not look the same...and never interested in anything besides that 20 minutes after i take like 4 pills at once.
i wat to be better than this, at least when i was a coke head in college i actually felt like doing stuff...lol this drug makesu so f-in lifeless and useless. i want to die...nt really i want to be high on life instead...how long really does it take to not feel like ripping your own head off really when going ct?

remoxy is a new drug to replace oxycontin. Unfortuneately, it's still physically addicting but impossible to chew, snort or crush. Wave of the future--butforst they have to dry up the instant release roxys and oxy supply. Their availability kind of defeats the purpose of remoxy. Who would take it? LOL down in south Florida we have a pain clinic on every corner--more addicts per capita than anywhere else. That's why our supply got cut first. It's coming folks. Google it.

Could you please tell me what remoxy is.  I have never taken Roxycodone, but I would like to learn more about th remoxy, what makes that pill impossible to get hooked on?

South Florida has a lot of addicts. Count me in. It's just too damn easy. I'm fighting the same EXACT problem you are and at the same levels. I kicked the roxys a year ago and stayed clean for 6 months--then started "dabbling" 1-2 for fun--now I've got a raging addiction too. At 450 mgs a day--it is my humble opinion that cold turkey is a recipe for disaster--but the good news is ur limiting your use now. Stabilize for a week at 5 per day or 150 mg --don't double up--trust me the 30 mg will get ur head right but won't get you high like the 4 you're use to using. I KNOW this because last week I was taking 4 @ a time and this whole last week I cut my usage in half -- just by not doubling up. Now I have NOT been a happy camper but I got some news for you. Not only do you need to get your life back so you can enjoy the paradise we live in--but the supply has been severely cut. The party is over in South Florida. The FDA has specifically targeted our area and none of the pharmacies will be getting anymore roxys. Walgreens is already out--all 772 of them. The FDA has shut down wholesale distribution due to our "high incidence of abuse" in south Florida. Soooo--doesn't matter how much money you have (and that's never been my problem either) you can't abuse what isn't there. You only have a small window to get well. Take advantage of it & you can keep your addiction private if you want. Supposedly the FDA is bringing remoxy to south Florida---it's a substitute for oxycontin and roxycodone--impossible to abuse. Anyway--your drug of choice won't be available for love or money in less than 90 days so if I were you--I'd do a quick taper and get clean with me. It's doable but not from 450 to nothing. You have to walk down. You can. You must. Good luck.
Btw: I think everyone who has ever been a roxy addict knows exactly about that useless do nothing except wait 20 minutes on it to kick in feels like. My God, life is passing us by...... Let's stop the madness.

I wanted you to know that you did a great thing for me today :) I was reading your post when I got to the line "never interested in anything besides that 20 minutes after i take like 4 pills at once" I'm in day 3 and besides feeling like I was hit by a train and being very tired, my brain is on some kinda think tank over time (whatever that is) but a bell went off that I never noticed before and that is...how much I looked forward to and craved that first 20 minutes after taking a 4 or 5 phentermine pills. I know that will help me avoid that pitfall. I wish I could say or do something to bring you a little peace I dont know what it would be. But you put a huge smile of my face today when I read that one line  :)

Welcome to the forum. Are you planning on going c/t again? Tapering may be easier for w/ds but for some can be torture to stick to if pills are there. Generally speaking for most, the worst w/d's are 4-5 days, then slowly getting better. I blamed my ex for getting me into coke for a long time, but i have finally realized that it was my choice to use and my choice to get clean.  Is your b/f still using them too? It will be harder to quit if he is using too. If you look in the top right under health pages you will see the thomas recipe which can help with w/d's. You can do this, w/ding is hell, but living under the power of drugs and a false high is even worse. You are not pathetic, you are addicted and can fix this. How bad do you want to be clean?

p.s. Playboy model huh? Sooooooooooo, would you like to come detox at my place, hahaha. good luck.

Hey There...it's easy to beat yourself up but that will do you no good;  all your energy should be focused on getting yourself off of the roxis so you can get your moxy back :-).  I used a taper...took me 3.5 weeks and while I still felt something, was definitely doable.  Let me know if you want to see the taper...

Have you ever tried to ween yourself off of them?
Not everyone can do this, as it is hard to NOT take pills when you have them. But its a lot easier, physically to ween off than to go cold turkey-
If you decide cold turkey is the way to go, for roxicodone the physical w/drawls are appx 5-8 days long with most people, but the mental w/drawls can last a lot longer....
Is your boyfriend going to quit also? Its going to make it awful hard for you to quit if your b/f is still doing it!
I would NOT go to suboxone before you try weening and atleast trying cold turkey, too.
Because then you would have to go off of that, and thats a longer process than going off of the roxis.
You arent pathetic, you need to ditch that mindset right now!
You are someone who has an addiction, there are a lot of people with addictions and it doesnt make you pathetic!  It sounds like you are quite beautiful, and im sure once u kick this, you'll gain your esteem back and start to again feel beautiful and fun.
Repeat after me, "I am not pathetic, I am addicted to roxicodone, that does NOT make me pathetic, it makes me in need of help. I made a very brave first step today by posting on this board and admitting my problem. I am going to beat this stupid drug. This drug will not continue to run my life..."
Seriously keep posting- nothing helps more than talking w/people who have been there!
