day 10 no ultram....

i am sooo depressed. I have done this ct wd too many times.i plan on talking to my preist...also need to call a social wker. I have used suboxone b4 to get off this drug and w its long half life it was not a good choice for me....i usually assume fetal position but this time i didn't.I credit neurontin for being "as well" as i am. started st j wart day 1. I pray it starts wking.Still have physical symptoms, not sleeping well most nights, frequent visits to the bathroom ect. but the mental aspect is debilitating. This drug is rat poison, this i know... i feel weak.I have used my whole life tram being my doc but also oxy/hydrocodone...feel worthless and like its only a matter of time b4 i scew up...does life every become bearable w/o dulling it down a bit? Hopeless...

Hi, I'm sorry the mean blues have gotten ahold of you; but I'm also glad that you have someone in mind to talk to.

One thing regarding the gabapentin and the st. johns wort - the drug interactions checker at drugs ******* lists this interaction as "moderate" - the three options being minor, moderate and severe.

Moderate is defined as "Moderately clinically significant. Usually avoid combinations; use it only under special circumstances".  I would be very careful combining these two, or better yet leaving out the St. John's Wort.  There are aLOT of drug interaction warnings with this particular drug.  I know it's herbal, but you still have to be careful with it, and what you take with it.

Take good care of yourself, you're not alone, andplease keep posting if it helps.

Well wishes to you...

Sandy

thx misty and tomskat!!!
sandstone i thoght given the fact that both gabapentin and sjw both affect brain chemistry there may be a problem..altho I didnt research it. thx 4 the info. sjw helped my underlying depression yrs ago. hoped it'd lift this black cloud. I feel soooo depressed, cry @ the drop of a dime, but other than this forum, which is invaluable, i still  have done nothing to fix myself...sometimes i really feel its pointless. i know i self medicate, i know bad **** happens to everyone and they don't all use...but me ??? I feel like i dont wanna do the hard work the bandaids have helped for sooo many yrs. Mayb i'm not rational right now, idk...Thx again kind ppl!!!
