day 15, got a surprise today

So there is a huge blow up at my house with my daughter and son in law over the lack of effort being brought to the table by them and I actually had a "push" in my head to take a pill!! It caught me off guard. I didn't expext it at all. Of course I didn't take anything but the urge was strong and totally unexpected. I'll deal with rough spots without those pills, thank you very much! Whew, that was close!

life does throw us some curveballs for sure, but I am strong in my conviction to never take pills again!

Actually, I do have A LOT of my prescriptions left. Haven't decided what to do with them yet.too many t flush or tosss. Some people have suggested th fire dept. I will lookinto that. I'm not worried. I am not going to take them and that is all there is to it. I gave it a second thought only because I was surprised by the urge. I didn't give it another thought aagain..and I won't

WAY TO GO!! It will be very shaky for a while and you will be tested by this nasty disease, but as long as you stay strong and stay true to your convictions, all will be well. We all had to deal with life on life's terms and some times that could seem almost unbearable. Keep talking, keep posting, expand your network.  You can never have enough support in your corner.  Take each day one day at a time and don't overwhelm yourself.  Good luck my fellow recoverer :o)

Excellent job. As I've said before, life hands us hundreds of reasons to relapse every day. Lots of excuses - but that's life.
And I have to ask...you talk about taking a pill; do you have access to any?
Sorry; you've probably already shared that info but after 15 years of using my brain is a little sluggish at times.

congrats it is hard to deal with the blow ups and the hard things that life throws at us. we as addicts become so dependent on pills to deal with life and to deal with the road blocks that are thrown in our path. I'm so very proud of you for not listening to the voice in your head I know how hard it is. there will be hurdles thrown your way on your journey to becoming clean. it seems like when we decide to get off the pills life throws everything at us. but really its just life the pills make us numb to what is going on around us so we dont realize that life throws crap at us. but you did so well congrats keep up the good work one more step you have conqured in your healing process. love and light
