Hi shell,
My hubby is my best friend, and he does try so hard to understand. The thing is, when one hasn't gone through it, while they may sympathize, they just aren't capable of getting it. Also, years ago before I had ever seen a pain pill, my ex-husband was an alcoholic. I didn't understand it, all I knew was that he would get mean and then later promise to do better. I don't know if had I been able to know where he was coming from whether we would have stayed together or not because we were both so young. The point is, I perceive it from both sides now.
I am glad you are here and want to take control of your life. It won't be easy, but with the help of this forum and later some form of aftercare, you will begin to feel better and see progress.
Please let us know how things are going. You have friends here.
Blessings and hugs,
Minn
