The fatigue has totally kicked my butt physically & mentally.  I'm normally a one hour a day workout without failure kind of girl but on bad fatigue days I feel so weak, I can't get motivated for love or money.

Tyrosine just makes me shakier but ALCAR sometimes help.  Interested to read about kratom as an energy supplement, here in Australia, it's a scheduled opiate in the same class as heroin.  Ephedra is also illegal here, (but unfortunately not tramadol).

I have yet to find a supplement that really makes any difference when it's bad so just try to psych myself thru & sometimes that helps.  Any tips gratefully received.

Im day 17w/d from oxy I work everyday but still only about 40% of energy I need to do my job properly, the mornings seem to be the worst for me, drinking plenty of fluids helps a little but i really need to find energy to do "normal" everyday stuff!

exercise is the key..as tired as u may feel..get up and move..the rewards are three fold..works on nrg/fatigue, anxiety and depression....get up and go...tyrosine (2000-3000 mgs/day)helped me immensely at this time..also rocket shots/not usually a caffeine drinker but i was flat desperate..melting into the couch and had to work...my life became reclusive and boring as my energy level barely carried me thru a day at work..and did miss days as well...were time when i didnt care if i lost my job/was just so tired..i was a 80-100 mg hydro user...and this passes..meetings r so important right now..cos this feeling of blahness will cause a relapse in a heartbeat...fight it,,put the balls in ur court..read up on herbs that increase energy...i tried yohimbee, ginkgo baloba/su,pin like that/kratom/ephedra...i was desperate...but exercise and tyrosine helped me the most....wellbutrin also helped but that was later on down the road..good luck to u

My last post just went into cyber-trash space I guess!?????  Anyway, thank you for the input abt the 5 hour energy drink.  I will see if one of my kids will pick some up for me to try.  I was hopeful that someone here could help Jollyman out, he's having it pretty rough with the fatigue too!!

Hugs

I used the 5 hour energy drinks during detox and they did help.To be honest though the 2 things that helped the most were exercise and time.It does get better. You do get to the point where you are not feeling like you have to push yourself through every single day.All the best...Kim

I am posting again and hopeful that someone will come along with more information on what HELPS them with the fatigue battle.  I know it is still one of my main complaints along with ,SLE,& fibro  anyone know of anything this side of opiates that will help out?  Do the Monster drinks really help that much.   I too am on B-6 and liquid centrum.  I do walk everyday and eat right, god knows I have plenty of housework to do.  Really do believe that lack of energy reminds me of when I could take a pill and help it get better but now that isn't an option at all, other than otc pain meds.  It may sound strange to some, but I know how debilateing this can be :(

Congrats on day 7 Jolly. One whole week.I know the fatigue s@cks but the pills were giving us energy for so long and now your body needs to adapt to being without pills. Be careful if your energy goes too low. Dialysis knocks the stuffing out of your body. If you feel too weak to get up you might want to do some exercise from sitting . Walk when you feel that you can do so safely without getting light headed. How intense does your loss of energy get on dialysis days? Many of the people that I see can't do much more than sit up on their treatment days. You will get stronger. Hope it is soon. Be safe. Corey

Sara is right,it does pass.It seems like for most of us the fatigue and problems sleeping are the 2 physical symptoms that seem to linger the longest. The best tool for that is exercise,as much as you can get.Congratulations on day 7,thats great!!!!!!!!!!!!     Peace.....Kim

Ohhhhh, I know how you feel! I'm on day 8 off Fentanyl & 2 days off Darvocet (for WD'S)
& all I can do is pray to feel some sort of energy. It's bad cause I'm also RESTLESS.
That's a bad combo. I want to move, but cannot go far. I'm lucky I'm not working.
I will say I am feeling a little better. Maybe tomorow will be good for us! Hang in there.
I know I'll try to as well.

The fatigue and lack of energy is tough to call as to when it's going to return...I guess, one day at a time, huh?

try, if at all possible, to take a walk, jog, bike ride, etc...it helps release endorphins, promotes energy and makes u feel good. I know, i know, a LOT easier said than done
