day 8 Update

Hello MH family and friends! So today puts the lid on day 8 of sobriety. I wish I could say "and I feel great" but that is simply not the case. The good news is I feel 1 hell of a lot better then day 1. And I feel confident that I will continue to feel better every day! OHHHHH and the big news is that my pal RLS seems to be letting go. Sleep could be more abundant but if I'm going to be hazy in the brain then why not tired too..no biggie.

To all that took their time to help me over some very very rough days( I'm looking in a few peoples direction) you know who you are. From the bottom of my heart THANK YOU! you'll all have a very special place with me always. Your humor the unwavering support and the advise was paramount in my success thus far.

To anyone that may be reading this, please know that you can quit and there are amazing people out there that can and will help. That offer advise from experience. And you don't know me but I want you to quit and I too will help.

Here's to day number 9 tomorrow

Hi jif! Glad I got a smile. But yes ole RLS and I have been very close over the past week plus. As it subsides my pal seems to be leaving achey legs...but hey what friend leaves without giving a gift to their host. :)

woohoo MATT!  8 days, look at you go!  Listen, I don't want to get your hopes up but sleep should return to you soon.  Don't forget that the more active you are during the day, the better you will rest at night.  Also, the way to get energy is to USE energy.  So get out there and walk, jog, swim, dance, roller skate- whatever floats your boat.  Exercise is, In my humble opinion, one of the three cornerstones of sobriety.  Together strong with aftercare and healthy diet and vitamin regime, exercise will not only return you to your pre-pill form but exceed it.  Dude, I looked better at 6 months clean and 33, than I did at 23.  Because I made my health and well being my numero uno priority.  Never have I glowed with such vitality.  So do it!  Get on it!
Well maybe not right now.  It's after 2 am here so I'm guessing 5 or so on Sunday morning for you.
But you are through the worst.  Now it's time to get out and LIVE.
Well played friend, well played.

Yay Matt. At least via your posts, you seem clearer and calmer. And don't worry, you are not supposed to feel "great" at 9 days. You are supposed to feel "better", which you do!! I laughed when you wrote your pal RLS is leaving. That's some pal, right?:)

Yay times 3 for you and your 9 days!!! You have the best 'tude...your doing better than you know!

Wow...you're coming right along aren't you!!?? I'm sure it's been tough, but then again, anything worth having doesn't come free right?? At some point in our addiction, if we wanna be free we all have to pay the piper. And you're doing that!! Good job Matt :) Smooth sailing before long my friend :)
