Taking suboxone is starting to suck  The taste is starting to get me sick  I have been takin subs for 7 months and it still feels like the first week WTF I can go about 2-3 days on 2mg  before I get some serious leg cramps just seems like i am goin in circles anyone else goin in circles

wouldnt this cause tooth decay? also do one pill a time not all at once. tried today, felt much better!

wouldn't you be spitting out the drug as well, I heard spitting is better, i tried today, but it comes out pink and my whole mouth full of liquid! Wouldn't it be better to swallow! As for original post. I was at 12 mgs within 7 days! How you can go with 2 mgs for 2-3 days is beyond me, it says longer half time, but when i started on 2mgs coming off 70 mg methadone, I was in so much pain, and subs would last few hours then pain, no sleep, etc. all day, esp pelvic and muscle cramps! No pain now! Also i was clean off methadone for 2 years straight, and due to and unerlying condition and etc. stupid me went back then switched to subs, 2 weeks in come Thurs.

I would keep tapering down all they way to a crumb then a crumb every other day .You can get off of it

sounds like u r tired of the sub..tapering down to a crumb verses 2 mgs is how most do it...good luck and seek aftercare...i hope ur experience with sub has been a good one and it helped u meet ur goals...

Yes I went from 8 to 6 to 4 to 2 I confuse myself sometimes sorry

Taking 8mg I never really took a whole one it gets me sick been taking the 2mg dose for 3 months

YES the leg cramps are what kills me i was told magnesium helps it does but not enough thx

Here's a couple of things that's been suggested. Try eating an altoid, stronger the better, right before the Sub dose. Some people also suck on an ice cube for a few minutes before dosing. It might take some of the bad taste away. Also, our resident expert Dr. Junig suggests taking Sub this way....

For best results start with a ‘dry’ mouth, bite the suboxone with your front teeth to crush it and dissolve it immediately upon putting it in your mouth, then use your tongue to spread the the concentrated, dissolved medication over all surface areas inside your mouth. A couple points: the intact tablet is not doing anything, so holding it under the tongue takes needless time– get it dissolved right away. Second, there is nothing special about the area under your tongue; the medication will get absorbed from all surfaces inside the mouth, so use as much surface area as possible to increase absorption and speed the process. Third, after dosing for 5-10 minutes you can either swallow the saliva or spit it out– if the bitter taste really bothers you, perhaps spitting it out is the better option (also a better option for the rare individual who seems to get headaches from the naloxone in suboxone). Finally, do not drink anything or rinse your mouth with liquid for at least 15 minutes after dosing, as that will remove some of the buprenorphine that you are trying to absorb.
