I think its not a good idea to drink while on diazepam, but i cant see you having a seizure with the low dose your on and only having a few halfs.

The alcohol will antagonise the diazepam.

I think what you need to focus on is not whether you can start drinking alcohol, but how you can stop taking diazepam.

Reduce your dose by taking half a tablet of diazepam, and after  2 or 3 weeks try a day without.

Although it is not recommended, you could stop taking diazepam and substitute it by having 2 or 3 HALF pints of lager; during the initial weeks you may notice withdrawal.
But be warned, it is common to develop addictions with the drug you use as a substitute to get off your initial addictive-drug.

take care
