disparate. ..

I've been taking benadryl for about 10yrs. 20 pills a day, I was addicted to them, than the other day I was in pain and was rushed to the emergency room..my pancreatic was inflammation and my gallbladder has to be removed. Now I'm going off benadryl cold turkey. I'm suffering from horrible nightmares cold sweats, extreme nausea, loss of appetite dizziness and I can't even go to work. My question is how long will this last? Please if anyone can help I'd really appreciate it. Thank you so much for caring enough to read.

Hi Chykim. Welcome to the forum.. I agree with the above posters. Go to the Dr.s and tell them what you are feeling Be honest They have heard it all Some of it from me ! Really they can offer you comfort meds that will make this a lil more comfortable to go thru this and they might want to check a few things to make sure you are ok.. This is nothing to mess with as you already experienced so please do not hesitate and make a appointment today.. Let us know how it went ok We really do care. lesa

Chy. Spider is right. Do not get your information from the internet, see a doctor today and tell him/her your whole story. Addicts hide their behavior out of shame and embarrassment and Understand that you would probably prefer to do this on your own but we are not doctors, just fellow addicts like you. Welcome to the forum, and please stick around but see a doctor. You are not the first person to do this but it could take a little time before someone with a similar experience reads your post. The good news is that after you get medical advice and return to the forum we will still be here waiting - all of us who are struggling like you to overcome addictions to drugs.

Please get back to er immediately and tell them what's going on, or at the very least, call your doctor!  This could be very serious friend, and yes don't take another one.  Someone with more experience should be by soon but in the meantime be proactive and help yourself  and call someone!  I'll pray for you. Oh ya...welcome, I'm so glad you came here.  Prayers for you.
