does anyone know about Fentaynal

hello,
i am detoxing, although my doc prescribed the med. I don't feel good about it, I am on 12 mcg. of fentanyal patch, every three days, I don't know how bad it will be.

The patch can be a tricky detox. Alot of physicians will switch you to a pill to taper and detox from. How will you be detoxing? Or is the 12 mcg the start of a taper?

Yup we need a little more info. How long have you been on it?
I had the patch a while back but I just could not stand the way I felt on it.
I just took it off. I was on it for about 4 weeks

I was on the patch also, had me up to 50 mcg, it made me so sick and depressed I had to stop, I was then put on the oxycontin 10mg and still went through withdrawals though nothing like quitting the oxy's.  Really look into it and maybe some people on the forum have had the same experience, I read somewhere that morphine helped them a lot, didn't have to take it for a long time.  Good luck to you and don't get discouraged.

Having great sucess with the patch for my pain management. .
  You didnt mention what your taper from and how much or how long. I have read here the patch can be hard to detox from. Dificult w/d's. I hope your Dr switches you to low doese of a pill at the very end of your taper.
