down to 13

Im a 25/f ex heroin addict. I was shooting at least a gram a day for 1 year. I started on 90 mls of methadone 1 1/2 years ago. ive been going down 5 mls on and off...I want out. I just went down to 13 mls today from 17... Im wondering if its safe to just go cold turkey next week. Ive heard your body craves and withdrawals from even the smallest dose. But i dont see the point in tapering to 8 and then 3....Has anyone gone cold turkey on a small dose (lucky number 13)

Yes. I jumped off at 10 mg. it was rough and still a month later I feel the cravings. Physical withdrawal didn't kick on for about a week with me. It was hell but it's doable. I suggest tapering yourself more. If I had had the choice I def would have. It's no fun but it's worth being sober. Like I said in an earlier post methadone is the devil in disguise. Good luck. HI any thing above 10 is going to be a ruff withdrawal get into the single didgets where not alowed to give dosing info on here but that should give you some idea I took it down to 1 and went threw withdrawals but it was no worst then tapering below 5mg if that helps you just be read for the post withdrawal methadone drags on for quit some time the first moth is ruff the second a bit better its around 90 days that you come out of it.....get up to walmart and pick up a 3 in 1 vitamin calcium/magnesium/zinc.....thake 4 with breakfast and 4 with dinner in a few days it will ez your withdrawals it really helped me I came off 150mg and was on it 6 1/2 yrs it took me 8 1/2 mo to taper off and I went in and out of withdrawals threw out the taper your so close to being threw with this dont rush it play it all the way out people dont realize how strong methadone is 10mg is like 10 percs so head my warning about jumping early good luck and God bless.......Gnarly
