dr gave me clonidine??

Dr put me on a 5 day taper program which I think is fast but he says it doesn't matter how many pills I was taking his program would work.  So he gave me 13pills and here is the program:

3     3 times a day for two days
2     2 times a day for two days
1     1 time a day for three days

He gave me 3 days supple of clonidine .1mg.  Does clonidine help with w/d????  I start the program tomorrow and I am really scared and hope it works.  I have took any pills since this morning and don't plan to.  I am use to taking many at one time so I will have to take one three times a day and I am not use to that but I got to do it.  I told my dr the truth and he was very kind to me.  He told me it wouldn't matter if I stopped ct, but he suggest to do his taper program.  So he told me the cavings would only last maybe a week.  I am not craving right now, I was this morning very bad.  I am trying to watch TV and eat lol.  Don't want to gain weight but eating is better then popping a pill I think.  I am stuck inside because a hugh snow storm.  So far we got 24inches.  I live near DC, so got a couple more hours of snow and hope to at least be able to get out tomorrow which will help.  
So any one have any experience with clonidine does it help

what was ur doc and dose?  what did he give u to taper with?  did u use as prescribed or did u abuse ur meds>?

Clonidine is a Blood Pressure med...so check ur bp if u tend to run low...peeps in severe wds usually have an increased bp so it is not usually an issue...u do not sound like u were a high quantity user unless that is a sub taper u r speaking of?
Clonidine does help anxiety, sleep, tummy issues etc...it is usually used for strong narcotics or hevay use...but is a much safer choice than sub to stop with...keep us posted

I was using percocets, I was taking 5/325 between 6-12 a day.  He gave me 13 5/325 to taper for 5 days and the three days supply of clonidine

u should be ok...just check ur blood pressure at cvs to be sure before u take the clonidine...or perhaps u know what it usually is....ie..if a person has a normal bp of say 106/60 and they take clonidine it can drop it too low...be safe and sounds like u have a plan..it is good ur dr is helping u with this

My bp has been a little high the past few weeks.  I have only been taking the pain med for about 6 weeks.  I haven't been on it for  years or anything like that.  I am pregnant so I got to be smart and stop this now before the baby is born.  I am 25weeks so the baby should be fine.  I am at home today so I think about taking the pills but i am doing ok right now.
