dropping how fast?

I was on 280mgs of Oxycontin....i dropped 40 mg with no real big problem....i am on my 4th day now.......i know i won't be able to take any more drops like that!!!! was wondering after another week or so how much to drop this time???

I don't know if i understand......this is my second try.....first time got right down to 30mg......What i was thinking of doing now is waiting till it's been about two weeks and then dropping another 20 mg.....and keep dropping that much till it becomes too much......than start dropping ten mg....and so on .....could this work??? I have already told my doctor about wanting to come off Oxycontin but i don't think he has a clue how to bring me off!!! All i know is i am determined to come off....i would go cold turkey but have had 2 heart attacks....so can not go cold unless i have medical supervision and we all know how hard that is to get...at least around here it is........
