drug adiction(addiction)

A 19 years old son of a single mother is a drug addict.  He steals from family and friends, is a HIV positive, does not work or study, threaten the mother and sister to harm them if they do not give him what he wants, possible he is bi-polar.   The mother found his stach, took pics of all the drugs and paraphenalia and send to police as a way to find help for him.   More than once he has beaten the mother and his sister, to the point of breaking a rib of her sister as well as marked her from bites.   What anyone can suggest to help him and at the same time, protect mother and sister from his anger?

This is terrible!  Why hasn't someone called the police?? Gotten a restraining order against him??

Tough Love is needed here,they need to call the police,he could kill them if this behaviour continues.

Get him committed or do like vick said and call the police.but he can't be hitting on his mom and sister.if he's committed they can find out if he's bipolar or what.
Take action,stop putting up with that!!! Don't allow him to come around.but do something quick before someone is seriously hurt.good luck!

If the mother and sister cant stand up for themselves then someone needs to intervene to protect them.  This is a very dangerous situation for all of them.  The police need to be notified about this........sara
