Wanted to add to what ready2help stated...
Not only do they test for specific gravity to see if a person tried to dilute the specimen - a lot of labs now are also testing for the common 'detoxing/flushing' products being sold on the internet that supposedly help people pass urinalysis tests.
But in the overall picture, you are better off being tested by a NIDA lab (where most independent urinalysis are sent off to). In *most* cases, after 2 or 3 days the metabolites from Darvocet have declined to a low enough level that even though they are usually still detectable in that time-frame - the result is considered a negative. Going further out from 3 days it becomes rapidly unlikely that you would test positive (stranger things have happened though). If you want to be on the safe side - 5+ days prior, while drinking a safe amount of additional fluids - and a person will likely be negative in most cases, most of the time. But stop drinking any abnormal amount of fluids 8-12 hours out before testing you chance overly dilute urine and retesting).
If you are being tested on-site by a dip type of test or alternate method like a mouth swab or hair sample - they are usually more sensitive and don't have a specific cut-off level - but it varies between brands and testing method... it varies a lot.
U guys...i was kidding! a piece of hair would show it tho....shows everything til u get it cut
I agree - if you are applying for a new job and have a legitimate prescription, you're ok (unless you can't be on med for the job itself or something - I guess there might be some exception). They often ask you to list your current meds. You might bring your rx bottle with you - if they ask, you can pull it out.
However.....
If you are trying to beat the urine test, well, after roughly 24-48 hours you should be fine. There are always variables - how much you take, how often, your metabolism, other meds/chemicals you're on, etc.
Also of note - not all urine drug screens test for the same thing - this is usually determined by the cost factor - The more sensitive and comprehensiv ethe test, the more expensive. Darvocet tests positive if they are testing for propoxyphene - not all tests do this. I think I read somewhere that it can potentially test positive for methadone - I would have to look that up again to be sure.
Water is helpful in a general sense but beware! If you drink tons of water shortly before the test, you could have a problem = they often test for Specific Gravity (i.e. how dilute it is) and if it is too dilute, they will make you retest (they would suspect tampering). On the positive side, by the time you re-test, you have an excellent chance of being clean. That is, as long as you don't use after the test. :)
Good luck. Be careful. Seems that these things tend to catch up with you eventually. Something to think about.
2 years.......Hmmm? I don't mind answering any questions. Just because i answer does not mean i am promoting it.........but the answer can be googled just as well, maybe next time i will offer that advice instead.........2 years......follicle test mabye.......but, anything is possible i guess...........
2 years later on Darvacet????/ Seriously? Is it that way for all narc/pills like that? Out of curiosity?
if u have script for it then u dont need to worry....just show it to them...otherwise i have heard of cases of darvacet showing up 2 years later....that darvacet is a little devil..LOL i know it is not funny but this is a drug abuse forum and not many will answer questions like this one...if u do not have a legit reason to use then most of the time the forum will not help u with trying to beat drug tests....just is not our focus here
depends on how many and how long you've been taking it.......lots of water exercise, metabolism are all factors........stays in the system for a few days......a good week and you should be fine......I hope. When is your test and how many and how long?
Nauty............
