drvon 100 mg

Iv been a vicodin abuser for more than a year. I had 2 days off but thought I was goin to lose it. Went to doctor they gave me valuim and it helps some however also gave me darvon 100mg. Im sopose to take 4 times a day but I looked it up and it is a narcotic in it called propoxyphene???? waht is this is it have anything to do with opiates??? And why dose it appear to be helping me some what feel beter. If there is one thing I dont need it to get  addicted to another drug   singed please help

I used to take my mothers darvocet to keep me from going into withdrawl (withdrawal). If you are looking to detox and be done with this addiction.....you need to flush them in the toilet.  I'm not sure why your doctor would give you this if you are trying to get clean. They will just prolong your detox.  Detox feels like a realy bad flu and can last 4-10 days of feeling bad. I started to feel better on day 5 but everyone is different.  You have not been doing them very long (compared to most here) So you might get off easy.  I do recomend you get off them now before it gets worse. Stay with this forum, everyone here is great. It helped me so much. Keep us updated.

hey thanks I needed to here that. also If you or anyone out there knows about vicodin withdraws how long did it take for you pupils (eyes) to quit being so diolated??? Iv gone though hell getting off this sh-- but i cant stand the eye stuff. Could it be worsining becuse I took that darvon for a few days ??? witch now im done with it    help

I think the pupil thing goes probably about day 4 or so. I didn't know anything about it and I drove a few blocks to my sisters and I had lost my distance vision. Scared the **** outta me. It was fine the next day.  You probably have a couple more days of hell, then you should start feelin better. Find one of the posts on here that GA GUY has answered, click on his name and go to his profile he has all kinds of info that will help you. Hang in there! Do you have anyone to help you get thru this?  Keep reading on here. You will get addicted to this forum.lol  Tuff this out it is so worth it to be free of the pills.  Mary
