duration of daily lortab intake until one becomes physically dependant

How long until one becomes physically dependant on lortab when taking 2-3,  7.5s daily? I have been taking this daily for 3 1/2 - 4 months and sweat and ache and have difficulty sleeping if i try to stop?? Is this normal? I have had chronic back pain  and would like to discontinue but am miserable unless i take them. I also am not sure what I need to or rather how I should approach this with my doctor. I"m afraid he will discontinue prescribing me the meds and i will be in agony 24/7 but am  just as concerned i have become dependant on them. I feel helpless.

You are already physically dependent on them. The sweats and aches are withdrawal symptoms. It sounds as though you're just physically dependent and not addicted at this point. You can reduce the  withdrawals by tapering off the medication. Try reducing doses or increasing the time between pills until you're off them. Opiates can cause pain after taking them for a while...so, you may be able to live without them. Only you can be the judge of that.

I started out like you. I am now taking 8 10mg lorcets to get high.  Last night was my first night not on them and it was HELL. I feel that since you are only taking 2-3 maybe it would be easier to quit now rather then end up like me.  Trust me it won't take long for ur tolerance to build up and you will need more to get that feeling.
