I found that if I keep my muscles flexible and strong, they hold me up instead of my bones. I started swimming once I could leave a toilet long enough and still swim and do PT exercises in the pool 3 to 5 days a week. I watched the therapists work with other people at the gym and started doing those things, can't afford to pay for it. Poor folk got poor ways. Maintaining good nutrition and a strong constitution help also. Anything to make the body and mind strong help the entire body, from less pain to natural immunity to pain. I feel way less pain now that the drugs are gone. Who wudda thunk it, but it's so true. Live and learn.
Way to go Recovrd, find what works and work it! Thanks for sharing.
So true . . my pain mgmt. Dr. prescribed PT for my lower back after recovering from upper back/neck surgery that I had last summer. I have been going for about 6 weeks so far and exercising at home on days off. This has been the biggest factor in keeping me clean and on track. Between the feeling of accomplishment (the endorphins), and the physical improvement - the let's just say it's ALL good :)
GOOD ADVISE . Pain Management is becomming a new fad for the DR. who really care.
KEEP ON TRUCKIN God Bless
