If you eat poppy seeds I know for a fact it will show positive for opiates on a test cause they are from the opium poppy which is the same plant pain killers and heroin are made from and plus I saw it on mythbusters haha cause the seeds contain a very very very tiny amount of morphine and codein ad for what Janet said about the seeds causing positive readings for thc or weed I don't think would happen cause they have nothing at all in common with weed but then again I guess it could happen but I just seriously doubt it but I am not trying to start a pissing match with you by saying this Janet not at all just correcting a statement

PCP is the common name for the chemical Phencyclidine , which is  animal tranquilizer .
is there anyway you could of come into contact to it around vetrenarian office or animals etc?

Janet....THC is found in marijuana, not PCP. I'm sure it has been laced with it before though.

I would request another test and if they refuse, I would go to your doctors office and have them give you one. It will cost you some money for the test through your doctor's office but better than losing or being denied a job.
I've heard false positives do happen and unfortunately it sounds like it happened to you this time. Hopefully they realize every test isn't perfect and don't have a problem giving you another one.
Best of luck to you.

PCP is most often found in amphetamines and LSD...altho pot can be laced with uit
one reason why cold meds with psuedofederine in it can cause a false positive
or as mentioned...it coulda just been a mistake in the test.
I would hope they would let u re-test

My test are always positive because I am an addict. Do you eat anything with poppy seeds? I have heard people say you can come up positive as marijuana if you eat poppy seed. I have no Idea, I would make them retest and maybe even a blood test also. If you know you didn't use I would be pissed. Was it a quick test that you took or one you had to wait on? PCP is in marijuana beyond that I am clueless. Try going to google and type it in I am sure there would be something about that on there. I wish I could help.

Have you been on any cold medications or cough syrups?  There are quite a few over the counter or presciption medications that can show a false positive for PCP.  I would google every OTC medication you have taken  in the past few weeks and any Prescription meds.  I would then ask for another urine test as mistakes do happen

I had that happen to me one time, and I have never even seen the stuff, much less taken any!  I was re tested, and it came back negative....thank goodness!  It kinda freaked me out, but I have no idea why it happened.  I would imagine that any test can come back wrong here and there.  Can you ask for another test?
