hello all well as some of you no i was suffering with seriouse fentanyl withdraw i was 300 mill patches and in a very bad way if you want to no more or have any questions that i can help you with mesege me or reply to this i am much better now but i do have a story on how i got this far .im not totly clean but im compleatly of the rectched fentanyl

yeah i no im a lot clearer and my old self it just shows you how bad them patche,s realy are and how much thay change you as a person.iv stoped shouting at my mum and everyone els for that mater lol its just so nice iv just had a visit from my key worker he,s happy so far and organising some one to one therapy whitch i think is great i need to get to the bottom of my distructive behaviour thanks gys ill keep you informed and vik here,s a BIG HUG right back at ya lol

I'm so happy you're doing this well. I don't think that's a huge dose of Methadone compared to what you were on. I'm not always in favor of Methadone BUT for you it was a great idea. I love how much you've changed and how clear you are. You're back to your real self!

gys and galls im geting on so well with methadone that when it comes to tapering down with meth im not going to want to do it.its so difrent to the patche,s im happy iv got no fear iv got a lot of get up and go well apart from the first 30 mins in the morning has anyone havin this problem im on 40 mills of methadone whitch i dont think is a lot considering the amount of fentanyl i was on 300 mills vevey 24 houres it got up to so 40 mills dont sound a lot atoll and iv got my life back is or has anyone had the same thoughts or bin threw wat im saying thank you for your help gys it does help to talk

Hi thank you for responding yes i understand wat you say about taper programs i wouldent do that as i no how scary and dangerouse it couild be but i can speak about how it made me fill whitch will hopefully help outhers relax and realise wat it is that,s making them so reched thats all i want to  do i had no one i found this site by fluke and was in sutch a haze i wasent even shure wat i was writing but now im here to help if i can all the best you can do it folks.

yeah i no that before i go onto sebutex or suboxine iv got have 24 hours of the opiats out of my sisitem then as soon as i take the new sub,s its almost instant.everything els health wize is cool i think iv been concerntraiting so much on this im not realy shure iv still got the blood clot in my leg from my body shuting down and my back is shot to bits but im ok nougthing i hope to worry about iv done enougth of that for a life time thankyou its like iv been on a plane for a week and got of in anouther country and its like im on holiday now it fills wonderfull well worth the week of hell.from wat i can make out everyone thats on the dreaded fentanyl dosent need to be coz when thay come of thay fill hundred times better straight away id advise everyone to come off and if there adicted to them and dont have any pain take real drugs there much healthyer as far as im concerned anyway night all from happy chappy

It sounds like they're finally doing the right thing by you!  It shouldn't be too bad making the switch to Suboxine. You will have to be in moderate withdrawal but they'll help you manage that, I'm sure. Read up on it so you know what to expect.

I'm really happy for you!  How is every thing else, medically?

yes it is soso wonderfull being of the retched patche,s i cant belive how good i fill towards the end thay put me on ametriptalyn also whitch realy made me want to loose the will to live iv stoped everything i was taking oxycodone lryica diazepam codiean fentanyl amertriptalyn it was a joke no one was doing anything i stoped all the outhers myself then one day aftyer i phoned the hospital and got threw to my pain team i lied to them i told them i had increased up to 400 mills thay beter do something and shure enougth thay did the next day i got admited into hospital thank good.anyway thay weend me of the fentanyl 50 mills at a time but also gave me methadone but i dident get any methadone until the 5th day so i had 4 days in all of sheer hell hot and cold flushes stomak cramps sik and poo at the same time no sleep paranoia and i thought the hole world was after me .on the 5th day i got upto 40 mills of methadone and it all calmed down so thats the stage im at now 40 mills of meth then im coming of the meth and going onto sebetex next but i hope the change this time isnt going to be as bad as the fentanyl change iv come of off just about every drug in my time but that realy was the worst time iv ever had sorry i just got a phone call and lost my train of thought yeah very happy so far .oh yeah im not on a large amount of methadone iver aparently so shouldent be to hard coming of im stabalised on 40 mill so so far so good.

Hey-  I answered your question in your other post which was moved to the social forum.

Anyway, there's no difference. It means the same thing. One is a noun and the other an adjective. Fentanyl works the same as what you've described. It's just stronger.

Good for you!  What are you using for pain now?  I'll bet you're happy to be off the patches!!

Yes I do have questions about fentanyl patches, I was informed that fentanyl was an opioid not an opiate.  What is the difference?  And I am aware how opiates work on our brain, the receptors, the release of too many endorphins, and seritonin levels from the opiates, that block our natural pain fighting endorphins.  Does fentanyl patches do the same thing?  Just curious
