fiorcet/tramadol

I have been off tramadol for about 30 days and tapered down to 1/2 bill of fiorcet a day.  I am having extreme back soreness and just general lousey feeling.   Has anyone experience prolonged soreness???  I was a heavy user for about 8 years.

Hey there!  I'm so glad you are doing this.

I have been off tram for over 2 months now.  The first month is FAR worse than the second! : )  When my muscles were sore and stiff, the best thing I found was a hot bath or shower and gentle stretching each day until it passes.  And it will, I promise.  It's just the WDs causing it to seem so much worse than it is.  I also took vicki's advice and took 800 of motrin.  Also, you can alternate every couple of hours with tylenol.  I know it doesn't sound like much, but it's better than nothing.

Don't be surprised if your pain gets MUCH easier to deal with when you get clean!  Mine is non-existent except the headaches I have had. (unrelated to WDs)  And even that hasn't made me want a pill!

You can do it!

Hi~ First of all, good job on quitting Tram and tapering Fioricet!!  That's hard!!!

I'd say your symptoms are normal and will pass. Symptomatic relief with hot baths, several times a day, will help. Drink lots of water and take multi vits. Try Motrin 800mgs. up to 3x per day.

Have you seen a doctor recently?  It's always a good idea to get a check up after being on meds for that length of time...

Keep posting~
