I placed a 12 step meeting guide on the health pages that explains how the meetings generally work.

dominosarah's right,
expect to be where people care about you, expect to be in a place where there are people that understand the behaviors you have developed. No one is there to judge you. Try not to judge others either. Dont be afraid to ask questions. You will find many people there who will offer their personal phone numbers to you so that if you are at a moment of weakness at home, work..etc, they can listen to you and offer support. Everyone there has had a "first meeting" and understands how you could be nervous. Good luck with your meeting and I applaud you for attending it.
